According to the (former) web page of Hotel Krone, he himself spells the name with r. Isn't it more likely that www.sports-reference.com got it wrong? By the way, databaseolympics.com has it Außersdorfer! --Wikijens 14. jul 2011 kl. 00:29 (CEST)

Well I don't know what to believe, but here is the First addition of that link to EN:WP which I tried to drag back from the waybackmachine, with this english article on it a couple of days ago.
