Jimmy Smith (1925-2005) var en amerikansk jazzmusiker og sanger. Han bidro til å popularisere Hammond B-3-orgelet, og skapte en kobling mellom jazz og soulmusikk fra 1960-tallet.

Hans mest kjente hit var «Walk on the Wild Side» fra 1962, og i de følgende årene ble flere av hans utgivelser bestselgere. Albumene Bashin i 1962, Back at the Chicken Shack og Hobo Flats i 1963, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? og The Cat i 1964 samt Organ Grinder Swing fra 1965 nådde alle topp 20 i USA.

Gjennom 1950-årene og 1960-årene samarbeidet han med mange av datidens mest kjente jazzmusikere, som Art Blakey, Jackie McLean, Kenny Burrell og Wes Montgomery. I 1955 startet Smith også egen trio i New York.
